In cooperation with the Dutch Ministery of Transport LEDExpert was responsible for the feasibility and realisation of the first 120 km/h tunnel lighting project in Europe. The Vlake tunnel is situated at the A58 in the Southern part of the Netherlands

LED Headlamp

For Permobil LEDExpert developed a European approved headlamp for electric wheel chairs.A complex reflector in combination with a high power LED, offers the user a well illuminated road, whithout causing glare for upcoming traffic.

LEDExpert developed for Shopex a new concept in retail lighting for a world wide A-brand. The new concept was developed for a shop-in-shop configuration, where light quality and produceability were key.

LEDExpert has studied the behavior and visual system of bats and developed the so-called human-bat response ratio (HBRR). The ratio is key to develop comfortable street lighting that does not disturb the natural behavior of bats.

SIMULATIONLEDExpert has the ability to simulate optical concepts with state-of-the-art optical ray tracing software.Also thermal simulation is used the check the expected junction temperature of LED during operation

MEASUREMENTThe in-house optical and thermal measurement capabilities shorten the development process. In cooperation with prototyping partners the performance of the product can be verified. Based on results, re-design can be considered
